Bless my sewing machine......

He just keeps going and going for me, this week Stephen has been working away so no one to interrupt the flow lol

here are two of my offerings for this week(more to follow)
two baby cot bed quilts, one in a farm yard theme and the other baby boy blues, this was especially for "James" and has already gone off to its new little owner

ok better go and get ready, today we are at "Stapleford Steam, in aid of Loros", its a great day out and cheap too, only £5 per car, so why not come along....... the kids will love it, and get to ride round the grounds on the miniature steam train!

A quilt finish....

I'm still working through my list of things to get done, cushions and quilts that i have on order,

but this one needed to be finished as my granddaughter arrived on Tuesday, it had been waiting just for its binding so didn't take long to get it all done.
sorry about picture quality it wouldn't stop raining so i was under the tree taking pics!!i did a shaped outer border on this one and love the finished effect, just makes it that little bit different, it is a cot bed size so will lat her some time lol

Going to have a busy week........

with the orders i have to get sorted, and i have finished the first.....
two cushions for baby births, then i have two more cushions and a quilt to get done this week.
and i was naughty again and couldnt resist all the fab fabrics i saw today, i have halloween fabrics, baby fabrics, and some gorgeous strawberry fabrics, plus lots more that i missed out of the pic, didnt realise till after i had just uploaded the pic!well better get back to it.......

I have been busy again as always , a mass of bunting, lots of hanging Laura Ashley heart, quilts of course, they are always on the menu, and all while working on my own things, quilts for baby Mia, (two weeks and counting)

my head is buzzing with all the things i need/want to work on, sewing boxes, workshop designs written up, new designs written down lol,
need desperately to find the time to get some done!!but here is a snippet of whats coming soon........

To keep you posted as to what we are upto!

as always my sewing machine has been very busy making goodies, quilts, kiddies aprons were on the menu last week, this week it will be bunting and if i get to them cushions, just need to find those extra hours in the day!
look at these beauties.......gorgeous knitted cupcake pincushions, my display is somewhat depleted now after the weekend, they are scrummy enough to eat!

we have a had a lovely weekend, firstly it was our usual spots of loughborough and melton markets, the sun was out so a lovely day on saturday,
Sunday we spent a gorgeous day in the grounds of Thorpe Arnold church as part of their village festival, it was gorgeous not even a breeze, we were sheltered from the sun under the trees and although we were working it was a gorgeous day

Last Quilt for this week......

This time a cupcake quilt for a cotbed with a diamond pattern quilting in the centre and a freehand round the border, this is a very popular quilt that i make, always goes down well,

To add to the pot,
these gorgeous and bright baby cotbed quilts with an alphabet design, i loved working on these and as always has some free hand machine quilting but both are quilted differentlyright the next one, watch this space......

Trying to keep up.........

My poor sewing machine is protesting with all the work it has been doing lately, the other day it was a 14 mtr bunting string,sunday saw 4 quilts going through it, and i have to say my poor hands were protesting after it all too lol, but i am loving it, here is one ready and off to its new home this evening

and a sneaky peak of another one just needs it binding hand sewingthen today when i arrived home i had a parcel waiting with some gorgeous new fabrics , yummy, now what shall i turn them into??If you are out and about this weekend then why not come see us, we will be at our usual haunt of Melton market on Saturday and on Monday its MELTON DAY and we can be found in the market place along with lots of other scrummy stalls.

Crafty weekend and workshop

well its monday and the weekend is over,(insert sad face here) it was FANTASTIC though, had such a fab time (as we always do) and i am so proud of all the ladies that made bags, they are just great, there was a few words muttered during it all and even a few throwing of the bags lol but by the end they were all smiles as they showed off their new bags,

and asking me what are we going to make next?....phew let me get over this one first lol

Bag Workshop

Its the crafty weekend on saturday and sunday, always an enjoyable weekend, realy look forward to them and this time i have been asked for a bag making workshop so this is what i have come up with, i am loving the colours, with applique work and free hand machine quilting this should keep them busy for an hour or two lol

Filling orders .....

Had to change the colours on this cushion for someone, got lots more in the pipeline too, been realy busy with the cushions, just wish there were more hours in the day, never seem to be enough for what i want to do!

and here is the extention to the stall, although it is very much depleted now thanks to "mothers day"

Latest quilt

Here is my latest quilt,
why do i want to keep them as i make them lol,
just love the colours on this one, as i do all of them, and it is BIG!
its probably coming on for a king size, well it hangs to the floor over my double bed anyway !!

it has the all over freehand quilting detail,
which i just love to do, (ignoring the pain in my hands that is)

right onto some smaller projects now,

Birthday pressie.....

his is what i was making last week that i couldnt show, made with moda fabrics for Daisy,
my DS's girlfriend for her birthday on wednesday, hope you like it daisy!


had a busy weekend and another quilt almost complete, pink and brown and is looking lovely even if i do say so myself, will show you later when i have finished it!

Where does the time go??

The weeks are just flying past, we are in march already, where did that go to? although i am loving the odd day of milder weather, please lets have some more, not that i see much of them but even the little bit i do see is chearing me up greatly,
i am feeling back on top again, the 7 weeks being ill over christmas were tough, then i carried on feeling low and tired out all the time, but now i am on top form again, the sewing machine has been up to speed, busy busy, one thing i cant show you yet...but soon.
but i can show you these newbies
